Kendal featured in New York Times story on ‘Going Back to School, Without the Pressure’

The April 5 issue of The New York Times includes a story featuring residents of Kendal at Oberlin and Kendal at Hanover. A caption beneath a photo at the top of the story of Kendal at Oberlin residents Larry and Arlene Dunn, notes that “Larry and Arlene Dunn, like other retirees, are opting for college retirement communities, where they can take lifelong learning courses, mentor college students and even get a degree.”

The article, titled “Going Back to School, Without the Pressure: College Retirement Communities Expected to Grow,” also includes information about Kendal at Hanover, plus a quote from resident Margaret Spicer. “Several of us here are former Dartmouth professors,” she says. “I didn’t want to leave all my friends.”
