Land Set Aside for a Riverfront Park

June 9, 2017—Kendal at Hanover has partnered with the Town of Hanover in a license agreement for public use of what is now called the Kendal Riverfront Park. Under the terms of a licensing agreement with the Town, members of the public will be able to park in the upland portion of park and use the existing boat launch and waterfront for access to the Connecticut River.

The 10.7-acre property was purchased by Kendal at Hanover in September 2013. Last year Kendal at Hanover’s Board of Directors decided that the community will not build any housing on the property. The property was home to the Chieftain Motel for many years.
