Kendal at Hanover is an accredited, not-for-profit Life Care community. That means it offers comprehensive long-term care services that support residents throughout their lifetimes. These services encompass three levels of care — Independent Living, Assisted Living, including Memory Care, and Nursing Care.

A Place to Call Home

Kendal at Hanover is home to 400 residents and employs approximately 300 staff at its picturesque 65-acre campus in Hanover, New Hampshire. Kendal is known as one of the region’s leading employers, with an outstanding work environment, career enhancement benefits, and an award-winning Children’s Center.

Founded by The Kendal Corporation, partnering with a dedicated group of Quakers, Kendal at Hanover was thoughtfully positioned close to Dartmouth College in order to support one of Kendal’s deep-rooted values; “To Promote an Environment of Continuing Learning.” Nearby is the cultural and diverse town of Hanover, home to the nationally recognized Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

The Kendal System

Kendal at Hanover is part of the Kendal System, which is supported by The Kendal Corporation in Pennsylvania. The Kendal Corporation, formed in the early 1970s, is a national leader in the successful development and operation of services and communities for older adults.  Based on Quaker principles and beliefs, the foundation for all Kendal communities is one of mutual respect and caring for all individuals.

Kendal at Hanover residents

While operating as part of the Kendal System, Kendal at Hanover operates as an independent life plan community, with its own Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer. One enormous benefit, which distinguishes Kendal at Hanover from many other communities, is the on-site Dartmouth-Health Clinic. The clinic offers seamless continuity of care for residents.
